Q. How should I clean and maintain my Micalline surfaces?
A.
- Surface Cleaning
- Clean Micalline surfaces with liquid gel or foaming cleansers, such as Dow Foaming Bathroom Cleanser, Lysol Basin Tub & Tile, Clean Shower, Greased Lightening, Clorox Clean Up, Fantastic, or 409.
- DO NOT USE COMET, AJAX, SOFT SCRUB OR ANY OTHER ABRASIVE CLEANSER.
- Whirlpool System and Components
- Clean Jet Cover and Components with any non-chemical or non-abrasive cleaner.
- Clean under the Jet Covers by unscrewing the face plate.
- Purge the system once a month by filling tub above jets with warm water, adding 1 cup of Clorox and 1 cup of automatic dishwasher detergent, such as Cascade, and letting the whirlpool run for approximately 20 minutes. This will clean the PVC pipe. You may also take the jet covers off when purging.
- After purging the system with dishwasher detergent and Clorox, fill the tub above the jets with clean water and run the system for approximately 20 minutes.
